MSDesign
Lay out pages that read beautifully
MSDesign is a page layout app for magazines, brochures and books. It gives you threaded text frames, parent pages, styles and a paragraph composer built for even, readable type.
Beautiful type
A Knuth-Plass paragraph composer, hyphenation dictionary and optical margin alignment give even color. Line breaks are identical on screen and in PDF.
Threaded stories
Flow one story through columns and frames, and around pull quotes with text wrap. Parent pages carry your folios and running heads.
Print to publish
Export PDF with bleed and crop marks, PDF/X for printers, EPUB for readers, or exchange layouts as IDML.
A magazine cover on the page
A cover page with guides and text frames, the tool column on the left, and Properties, Pages and Layers on the right.
Cover composed in MSDesign
A full-bleed graphic frame, display type and an italic deck, laid out and rendered by MSDesign.
Columns and text wrap
One story flows through three justified, hyphenated columns and wraps around a shaded pull quote, with a gradient rule and folio.
Styles on a feature page
Kicker rule, headline, deck, picture, caption and justified two-column body, all driven by paragraph and character styles.
